Cheapest Cell Phone: Affordable Options From Top Brands

Cheapest cell phone: Generally, the leading cell phone brands’ big launches are for the top of the smartphone, hosting a significant event and extensive coverage.

With this, it is difficult to have an idea about which is the cheapest cell phone of these brands since the other launches of the manufacturers are often overshadowed or are in the background. And do you know which are the most inexpensive cell phones from the leading brands, which are worth buying in 2023, and which are already outdated? Check out!

How Cell Phones Were Chosen

When we talk about cheap cell phones, we prefer to cover both models that are a little older and simpler but still available on the market and that can be purchased today, along with options whose configurations do not leave much to be desired but that are still cheap. Therefore, we will talk about the “cheapest cell phone” currently on the market. Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, and realm, entitled to an honorable mention at the end—Let’s go.

Samsung

Samsung is perhaps the most popular brand. Having devices from the most basic level to the top of the line, the South Korean brand has become synonymous with cell phones, regardless of the group.

Galaxy A01

Officially launched in April 2020, the Galaxy A01 stood out as a device that fits like a glove for more straightforward users who only look for good use in a cell phone for messaging and social networks. The Snapdragon 400 processor corroborates this perception, being one of Qualcomm’s most basic chipsets at the time.

However, its LCD screen with HD + resolution was not ugly for a primary cell phone. It gained a little more notoriety the following year, within its segment, due to the criticism that the A02 suffered when released.

Galaxy A13

The Galaxy A13 was a pleasant surprise in the introductory segment in 2022, not only because it offers an average configuration of what is considered suitable for an entry-level device but also because it has slightly more advanced cell phone characteristics, such as 5G connectivity.

In its average settings, the A13 has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a Full HD 90 Hz IPS screen. The only point that the device may leave a little to be desired is its set of cameras, but in general, it is an excellent option for more basic users.

Xiaomi

We went from a consecrated brand to one that has grown the most in recent years. With smartphones becoming increasingly expensive, Xiaomi became a synonym for cheaper cell phones than other major brands. Although it also has top-of-the-line devices focused on high performance, let’s get to know some of its affordable options:

Redmi 10C

The 10C is a model that shows well the strengths and weaknesses of an essential Xiaomi cell phone, also proving to be a complete device for not-so-demanding users without doing poorly in some more complex processes. Equipped with Qualcomm’sQualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chipset and having 4GB of RAM, the Redmi 10C handles well with more than one app open simultaneously, without significant hiccups.

Redmi Note 10 5G

Living up to the brand’s reputation for suitable devices at affordable prices, we have a low-cost intermediate option. The Redmi Note 10 5G was a clear evolution over its predecessor, bringing new features based on Xiaomi’sXiaomi’s consumer reception. Its main strengths are a super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution; a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, which, together with 6GB of RAM, can run slightly more demanding games well and works with several apps open at the same time with fluidity.

Motorola

Being one of the oldest brands in the cell phone market, Motorola has gone through virtually all eras of cell phones to become one of the greats in the smartphone market as well. Having different lines focused on different types of consumers, it is also a brand with an extensive range of devices. Let’s see which of your devices can be considered the cheapest cell phone:

Moto E22

As the Moto E is Motorola’s most straightforward and affordable line of cell phones, it’s only fair that we talk about one of them first. The Moto E22 bet on some differentials for an entry-level device, such as stereo sound with Dolby Atmos and a screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. However, the smartphone left a little to be desired for performance below expectations – even for an entry-level cell phone – and little internal storage capacity, with only 64GB.

Moto G52

We leave for Motorola’s line of intermediaries, known for good cost-effective cell phones. The Moto G52 has a 6.6-inch OLED screen and Full HD resolution, a more than positive point. It has very clean stereo audio and a battery within the average mentioned numerous times, with fast charging of 30W. Its set of cameras is ok for an intermediary, with the main highlight being the sharpness of its 50 MP primary lens.
